Should I be using toddler sleeping bags ?
Toddler Sleeping Bags can help to establish an effective bedtime routine as toddlers stay warm and snug (because the bedding can’t be kicked off by mistake in the night!).
I first put my child in a sleeping bag when he was just four months old. You can get some sleeping bags which start from the age of birth. I no longer use our sleeping bag on our toddler but when he stays with my mum she uses one with him.
The sleeping bag keeps the toddler feeling cosey and safe. It almost works as a comforter. In the early ages it prevents the child from getting tangled up in bedding or moving too much around their bed or cot.
The toddler sleeping bags themselves are quite baggy and should never be too tight. There are many great brands of toddler sleeping bags, many of which are highly recommended and reported on. The market leader would probably be Grobag.
There are many other well respected companies but I feel that Grobag are the best.
Now im not telling you that your toddler should be using a sleeping bag when going to bed. All I am saying is that I have used one previously which seemed to really settle my toddler at night and also reduced the amount of times he woke in the night.
The Grobag company have sold well over two million sleeping sleeping bags and clain to be the inventors of “the UK’s favourite toddler sleeping bag.” To be fair I would have to agree with this comment.
If your toddler is sleeping well without a sleeping bag then why change anything? If your child is experiencing toddler sleeping problems then why not give a sleeping bag a go? Its worth a try to see if it makes your toddlers sleep any better.
